# Install Joomla with Softaculous

Before starting, ensure the following:

- Your domain or subdomain is configured and pointing to your server.
- Softaculous is available in your control panel.

## Step-by-step Instructions

1. In the Softaculous interface, find **Joomla** under the **Blogs** category or search for it in the top search bar.
2. Click on the **Joomla** icon, then click the **Install Now** button.
3. Fill Out Installation Details:

### Software Setup

- **Choose Protocol**: http:// or https:// (use HTTPS if SSL is installed).
- **Choose Domain**: Select the domain or subdomain where Joomla will be installed.
- **In Directory**: Leave blank to install in the root (e.g., https://example.com) or enter a folder name (e.g., blog for https://example.com/blog).

### Site Settings

- **Site Name** and **Site Description**: You can change these later in Joomla.

### Admin Account

- **Admin Username**

- **Admin Email**
