# Adding a domain to your Control Panel

Now that you have your Server and Control Panel setup, the next step is adding the domain(s) that you are planning to manage. While the process is similar for most control panels, the individual steps can be a little different. Use the following articles to learn more about adding domains to your specific control panel.

## WHM/cPanel

When you use **[WHM](https://docs.nexcess.com/hosting/control-panel/whm/)**, you will create a new **[cPanel](https://docs.nexcess.com/hosting/control-panel/whm/cpanel/)** user account for each main domain. Think of the **[cPanel](https://docs.nexcess.com/hosting/control-panel/whm/cpanel/)** account as the primary “owner” of that one domain. However, you can still add **[subdomains](https://docs.nexcess.com/hosting/control-panel/whm/cpanel/website-management/creating-a-subdomain-in-cpanel/)** (like `blog.yourdomain.com`) and **[addon-domains](https://docs.nexcess.com/hosting/control-panel/whm/cpanel/website-management/create-an-addon-domain/)** (a completely different domain) from within that same **[cPanel](https://docs.nexcess.com/hosting/control-panel/whm/cpanel/)** account.

## InterWorx

InterWorx uses a two-level structure to simplify server management. [**NodeWorx**](https://docs.nexcess.com/hosting/control-panel/interworx/nodeworx/) is the server-level dashboard (similar to WHM) where you manage the server itself. **[SiteWorx](https://docs.nexcess.com/hosting/control-panel/interworx/siteworx/)** is the domain-level dashboard (similar to cPanel) where you manage files, email, and databases. To add a new website, you will create a new, separate **[SiteWorx user account](https://docs.nexcess.com/hosting/control-panel/interworx/siteworx/website-management/creating-a-user-account-domain-in-interworx-web-panel/)** for that specific domain.

## Plesk

Plesk streamlines domain management into a single, all-in-one interface. Instead of using a separate control panel for each domain (like cPanel or SiteWorx), you will manage all your sites directly from the main **‘Websites and Domains’** tab. The process is just as straightforward, and our guides below will walk you through the specific steps.
