# Installing Acronis Backup Agent on Self-Managed Servers

Liquid Web partners with Acronis to offer off-server and even off-site backups across all of our product lines. If you order Acronis backups with a new server, we’ll take care of all the setup of the Acronis account and backup agent. However, if you decide to [add Acronis backups](https://www.liquidweb.com/hosting-add-ons/acronis-cyber-backups/) to a self-managed server after purchase, you’ll need to install the backup agent on the server itself (Liquid Web does not normally log in to self-managed servers).

The installation of the backup agent is a fairly simple process once the Acronis account is set up. For directions on how to install the backup agent, you can see [Acronis documentation](https://kb.acronis.com/content/55052).
