# Recovering a Forgotten Password or Username

## Introduction

Managing credentials can be difficult. If you have **forgotten your password** or lost your username, you can use the self-service tools on the login page to regain access immediately. ## Step-by-Step Instructions

### Resetting a Forgotten Password

If you know your username but cannot remember your password, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the login page at **[portal.liquidweb.com](https://portal.liquidweb.com/).**
2. Click the **Forgot Password** link located at the bottom of the screen.
3. Enter your **Username** in the field provided.
4. Click **Send Email**.
5. Check your email inbox for a password reset link and follow the prompts to create a new secure password.

### Recovering a Forgotten Username

If you do not remember the username required to log in:

1. Navigate to [portal.liquidweb.com](https://portal.liquidweb.com/).
2. Click the **Forgot Username** link at the bottom of the screen.
3. Enter your **Account Number** or the **Email Address** on file.
4. Click **Send Email**.
5. You will receive an email containing the username associated with that address.

If you do not receive the recovery email within a few minutes:

- **Check Spam/Junk:** Ensure the email was not filtered by your provider.
- **Allowlist Us:** Add `support@liquidweb.com` to your safe sender list.
