# How to disable email for remote services in SiteWorx

## **Prerequisites**

- By default, local mail delivery is enabled, which means that mail traffic for any email account set up on your domain is automatically routed through Nexcess mail servers.
- If you need to disable local mail delivery so that you can use a remote mail server, refer to [How to configure remote mail servers](https://docs.nexcess.com/sites-stores/control-panel/interworx/siteworx/email-management/remote-delivery/).

## **Step by step instructions**

1. Log in to your SiteWorx account.
    - If you do not know your password, click **Forgot your password** on the login page.
2. From the main menu, click **Administration > Mail Options > Remote Setup**.
3. In the Local Delivery Status section, locate the desired domain name and click **Disable**.
4. Click **OK** to confirm.
