# Nexcess Flex Plans Backup and Restore

Backup management for Flex Plans involves two distinct systems that work together to provide comprehensive data protection: full server backups managed at the cloud platform level, and granular site-level backups managed through the InterWorx control panel. Utilizing both methods is a best practice for ensuring you can recover from any situation, from a single file deletion to a full server issue.

1. **Cloud Server Backups:** These are complete, image-level snapshots of your entire server instance, including all files, databases, and configurations. Managed through your main Nexcess account, these backups are ideal for disaster recovery.
2. **Site-Level Backups:** From the InterWorx control panel, you can create backups of individual SiteWorx accounts. These are useful for restoring a specific website, its files, or databases without affecting other sites on the server.
