# How to Add More Sites to Your Subscription

This guide explains how to increase the site limit on your current subscription. If you have reached your maximum number of activations, you can upgrade your plan to accommodate additional domains. This allows you to manage more sites under a single license key without needing to purchase a separate subscription.

Before you begin

- You must be logged into the [customer portal](https://software.liquidweb.com/).
- You must have an active subscription; expired subscriptions cannot be upgraded until they are renewed.

## Upgrade Your Site Limit

Use this method to move from your current plan (e.g., 1-site) to a higher tier (e.g., 10-site).

1. Log in to your **Account Portal**.
2. Navigate to the **Subscriptions** tab in the left-hand menu.
3. Choose the Subscription and click on the **Manage** button
4. Scroll down to the **Sites Management** section and click on **Buy More Sites**.
5. You will get a pop-up where you can choose how many additional sites you would like to add.
6. Click on the **Checkout** button and continue placing the order.

Once the transaction is complete, your existing Unified License Key remains the same, but its limit is instantly increased. You can immediately proceed to connect a site to your subscription for your new domains. You do not need to re-enter the key on sites that are already active.

## Troubleshooting

**Will I be Charged the Full Price of the New Plan Immediately?**

When you upgrade or add a site, your charge is prorated based on your remaining billing cycle. You’ll only pay for the time left between today and your next renewal date. Your new, full subscription rate will then take effect automatically on your next renewal date.

**I Upgraded, but my WordPress Site Still Says I’ve Reached My Limit.**

The license server may take a few minutes to sync. To force a refresh, navigate to **WP-Admin → Settings → Liquid Web Products** and click **Refresh** in the top-right corner.

**Can I Downgrade Back to a Lower Site Count Later?**

Yes, but downgrades usually take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Note that you must remove a site from your subscription to get below the lower limit before the downgrade can be finalized.
