## What is WooCommerce Delivery Slots?

WooCommerce Delivery Slots is designed to help you take control of your delivery and collection schedule within WooCommerce. WooCommerce Delivery Slots works by allowing customers to select their own delivery or collection time and date.

With WooCommerce Delivery Slots, you’ll be able to customize every element to suit your delivery and collection capacity. From creating time slots based on ZIP/postcodes to setting maximum orders and scheduling holidays/closed periods.

We’ll go over a few of WooCommerce Delivery Slots’ key features below to get you started.

Alternatively, you can view [all WooCommerce Delivery Slots User Guides here](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/kadence/iconic/).

### How to set up delivery/collection days

With WooCommerce Delivery Slots [installed](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/kadence/iconic/how-to-install-woocommerce-delivery-slots/), you’ll first need to set up your delivery and/or collection days for your store.

By doing this, you’ll be able to indicate which days of the week you’ll offer delivery/collection for customers.

These settings can be found by taking the following steps:

1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to **WooCommerce** > **Delivery Slots** and click the **Date Settings** tab.
2. Once done, scroll down to the **Date Settings** section where you’ll be able to select which days you want to offer delivery or collection (Delivery Days).

### How to set up time slots

Setting up time slots is optional. You don’t have to enable them to have WooCommerce Delivery Slots working on your store. However, if you’d like to allow customers to pick a specific time slot as well as a date for collection/delivery, you can do.

These time slots can be fully customized with additional fees, slot duration, maximum orders and more.

To find your time slot settings, take the following steps:

1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to **WooCommerce** > **Delivery Slots** and click the **Time Settings** tab.

Time slots allow you to have full control of your delivery/collection schedule so we recommend following our various User Guides to help you get started:

### How to use WooCommerce Delivery Slots for collection/local pickup

WooCommerce Delivery Slots doesn’t only allow you to customize your delivery schedule, it also allows you to offer collection/local pickup too.

By adjusting a few settings, you’ll be able to change the wording on your site from ‘delivery’ to ‘collection’, change your date and time slots and manage your collections all within WooCommerce.

**See how to set your store up for collection/local delivery with our guide:** [How to use WooCommerce Delivery Slots for collection/local pickup](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/kadence/iconic/delivery-slots/how-to-set-up-delivery-collection-days/)

Alternatively, if you’d like to offer both delivery and collection on your store, you can do that too. **Take a look at our guide to set it up:** [How to offer both delivery and collection at the checkout](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/kadence/iconic/delivery-slots/how-to-offer-both-delivery-and-collection-at-the-checkout/)

### How to offer time slots based on the postcode/zipcode/shipping zone

Your store’s delivery or collection schedule might need to be adapted to suit your needs. For example, if you have hyper-local customers, and some that are further away, you might want to set separate time slots to accommodate them.

Either that or, you might want to offer time slots to customers who live within a certain shipping zone.

With WooCommerce Delivery Slots, you can use the shipping zones within WooCommerce (which include postcodes, zipcodes and regions), coupled with your time slots to create an entirely customised delivery or collection schedule.

### How to manage upcoming deliveries

Now that you’ve customized WooCommerce Delivery Slots to suit your store’s delivery capacity and needs, you’ll start to see orders coming in.

Managing these orders can be done in a few ways, depending on your preference and the type of orders you’re taking.

We recommend managing your Delivery Slots orders using the Deliveries page. This page will allow you to see all upcoming deliveries, order contents, customer names, order status, and more.

To find the Deliveries page, in your WordPress dashboard go to **WooCommerce** > **Deliveries** (under Delivery Slots).

**We’ve put together an in-depth guide to help you navigate this section of your store. View that here:** [How to manage upcoming deliveries](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/kadence/iconic/delivery-slots/how-to-manage-upcoming-deliveries/)

WooCommerce Delivery Slots can do all this and much more. To see what else Delivery Slots can do, take a look at our other [User Guides](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/kadence/iconic/).
