# Administrative & Data Handling

In addition to access, progression, and display options, LearnDash offers a set of **advanced quiz settings** that give you even greater flexibility and control. These features allow you to collect extra data, display competitive leaderboards, manage quiz statistics, and streamline quiz creation.

#### Custom Fields

- Add additional questions for **customer feedback, evaluations, or surveys**.
- Configure multiple question types and choose whether they are required.
- Responses do not affect quiz results (no points are awarded).
- Custom fields can be displayed **at the start or end** of a quiz.

#### Leaderboards

- Enable to display rankings based on quiz performance.
- Configuration options include: 
    - **Eligibility**: All users, registered users only, or anonymous users only.
    - **Reapplication**: Allow multiple submissions per user, with optional time limits (e.g., every 20 minutes).
    - **Automatic Entry**: Add users automatically.
    - **Number of Entries**: Display a set number of results (e.g., top 10).
    - **Sorting Options**: Best score, newest entry, or oldest entry.
    - **Display**: Show leaderboard on the quiz results page (below result text or as a button).

#### Really Simple Captcha

- Only available if the **Really Simple Captcha plugin** is installed.
- Adds an anti-spam layer for quizzes.

#### Quiz Statistics

- Enabled by default.
- Collects: 
    - **Overall Grade** (e.g., 8/10 = 80%).
    - **Answer-level Data** (e.g., for question 2, user selected B).
- If toggled off, answer-level data will not be stored.
- Can be displayed in the **User Profile block or shortcode**, allowing learners to view their results in detail.

#### Statistics IP Lock

- Helps prevent spam or repeated submissions.
- Saves quiz results only once every **X minutes** (e.g., every 5 minutes).

#### Email Notifications

- Send email notifications upon quiz completion.
- Options include: 
    - **Admin Notifications**: For all users or just registered users.
    - **User Notifications**: Learners can receive confirmation emails with their results.

#### Quiz Templates

- Save time when creating multiple quizzes with similar settings.
- Create a **template from an existing quiz** and reuse it for new quizzes.

#### Advanced Settings

- **Browser Cookie Answer Protection**: Stores in-progress answers in a browser cookie to prevent loss if the quiz is interrupted.
- **Associated Settings**: Modifies quiz database associations. 
    - ⚠️ Not recommended to edit unless specifically instructed or troubleshooting with LearnDash support.
