# Lesson Settings Overview

Each lesson in LearnDash comes with its own settings tab that allows you to customize how learners interact with your content. Here’s a breakdown of the key options available:

#### Lesson Materials

Add supplementary content to support your lesson. You can include:

- External links to websites or resources
- Media files such as **PDFs**, **videos**, or **audio files**

These materials are visible to learners on the lesson page and can be used for deeper learning or review.

#### Video Progression

This feature ensures that learners **watch the entire video** before they can move on. It’s ideal for ensuring content is fully consumed before progressing through the course.

#### Assignment Uploads

Enable this option to allow learners to **submit assignments** for this lesson. This is useful for collecting written work, projects, or any file-based task you want learners to complete and upload.

#### Forced Lesson Timer

Set a **minimum time requirement** that must pass before the learner can mark the lesson as complete. This ensures learners spend adequate time engaging with the content.

#### Sample Lesson

Mark a lesson as a **sample** to let anyone preview it—no enrollment or payment required. This is a great way to offer a sneak peek into your course and encourage signups.

#### Lesson Release Schedule (Drip Content)

Control when your lesson becomes available to learners:

- **Immediately** upon enrollment
- **After a set number of days** from enrollment
- **On a specific calendar date**

This is perfect for pacing your content or aligning with live events, cohorts, or program milestones.

### Why This Matters

These lesson settings give you **full control over pacing, engagement, and access**—helping you create a more structured, effective, and learner-friendly course experience.

> **Tip:** Use drip content and video progression together to guide your learners through a consistent and accountable learning path.
