# LearnDash Integration

### What does the MemberDash/LearnDash integration allow users to do?

This integration gives you two options:

1. When your customer subscribes to a MemberDash membership, you can automatically enroll them into a LearnDash course.
2. When your customer enrolls in a LearnDash course, you can automatically subscribe them to a MemberDash membership

### How do you enable this integration?

In order to enable this integration, you’ll need to have both MemberDash and LearnDash installed.

Then navigate to **MemberDash** > **Module****s** and find the LearnDash integration module and click on the switch to enable it.

- When a user subscribes to a Membership they will be automatically enrolled into the selected Course
- When a user enrolls in a Course they will be automatically subscribed to the selected Membership

### How do you use this integration?

Once you’ve enabled the integration and chosen **When a user subscribes to a Membership they will be automatically enrolled into the selected Course** from the module settings, navigate to **Memberdash** > **Memberships** and click on the **edit** link for the membership you want to edit. (or if you haven’t yet created a membership, you can do that now).

You’ll notice a new tab on the left-hand side that says **LearnDash.** Click on that tab and you’ll see a dropdown that will allow you to select a course.

Once you’ve selected a course from the dropdown, any time one of your customers subscribes to that particular membership they will also be enrolled into the course you selected.

Once you’ve enabled the integration and chosen **When a user enrolls in a Course they will be automatically subscribed to the selected Membership** from the module settings, navigate to LearnDash > Courses and click to edit a course. (or if you haven’t created a course yet, you can do that now).  
You’ll notice a new tab towards the top called Memberships. Click on that tab and you’ll be able to select a membership to associate with this course.

If you select a free, or one-time payment membership then the user will receive lifetime access to that membership upon enrolling in this course.

If you select a recurring membership, the user will receive their first payment for free, and will then need to subscribe to continue with the membership. So for example, if it’s a membership that renews monthly, they will get the first month for free when they enroll in the course. If it’s a weekly membership, they’ll get the first week free, and so on.
