# Community Events 4.8.11

### Summary

Maintenance Release

This updated version of Community Events brings a bunch of new features, as well as a couple bug fixes/tweaks.

As always, we recommend updating on a [staging site](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/), just to be safe, but it should all be smooth sailing.

#### ✨ New

New features included in this release:

- Added support for the Event Status field. Users can now edit the status of Community events to Scheduled, Cancelled or Postponed.
- Added new filter ‘tribe\_community\_events\_event\_status\_enabled’.
- Added new action ‘tribe\_events\_community\_section\_before\_event\_status’ and ‘tribe\_events\_community\_section\_after\_event\_status’.
- Changed `status` on the upcoming and past events page to display as `Publish Status`.

Bugs that were squashed in this release:

- Select2 alignment fixed when logged into WordPress via the add community event page.

- Updated the settings description link to use a new user primer.
