# Events Calendar Pro 5.0.1

Howdy all! We’re releasing a quick update here that improves the appearance of maps and map view, and adds a recurrence rule for multi-day events. This is a minor release that should be smooth sailing when updating. That said, it’s always a good idea to [backup](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/creating-site-backups/) your site and test changes in a [development environment](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/) before installing this on your live site, as you would with any other WordPress update.
