### Summary

Feature Release

This updated version of Events Calendar Pro adds brand new shortcode and Elementor widget attributes.

As always, we recommend updating on a [staging site](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/), just to be safe, but it should all be smooth sailing.

New features included in this release:

- Added the ability to “exclude-category” and “exclude-tag” on the `<a href="https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/calendar-embed-shortcodes/" rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank">[tribe_events]</a>` shortcode.
- Added the ability to restrict events by event author, organizer, and venue on the `[tribe_events]`shortcode.
- Elementor support for restricting events by category on the Events View [Elementor widget](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/elementor-widgets/).
- Elementor support for restricting events by author, organizer, and venue on the Events View Elementor widget.
