### Summary

Maintenance Release

The latest version of Filter Bar adds four new filters for developers to leverage, in addition to compatibility improvements.

As always, we recommend[ testing updates](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/) on a staging site first, but it should all be smooth sailing.

#### ✅ Fixed

Bugs that were squashed in this release:

- Adds a new class to handle special character parsing.
- PHP 8.3 compatibility improvements.

- Added filters: 
    - `tec\_events\_filterbar\_encoding\_helper\_encode\_for\_url`,
    - `tec\_events\_filterbar\_encoding\_helper\_decode\_from\_url`,
    - `tec\_events\_filterbar\_encoding\_helper\_encode\_for\_form`,
    - `tec\_events\_filterbar\_encoding\_helper\_decode\_from\_form`
- Leverage [WP’s new “requires plugin” header](https://make.wordpress.org/core/2024/03/05/introducing-plugin-dependencies-in-wordpress-6-5/) to prevent activating FBAR if TEC is not active.
- PHP 8.3 compatibility improvements.
