# Maintenance Release for the Week of 2 December 2018

Welcome to maintenance release number 17 of 2018! If this is your first time getting an update from us, [Maintenance Releases](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/release-notes-the-events-calendar-release-the-events-calendar-4-2-premium-add-ons/) are smaller updates between major releases, and are mostly comprised of bug fixes, tweaks, and small (but meaningful!) improvements. We always recommend using a [staging site](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/) to test these changes before updating on a live site. ### The Events Calendar 4.7.1

- **Feature** – Added additional caching to TEC REST API archives and the Post Repository event/venue/organizer responses
- **Feature** – Added new `tribe\_events\_set\_month\_view\_events\_from\_cache` action to make it easier to listen for when Month View events are retrieved from the Month View cache
- **Fix** – speed up and improve robustness of the asynchronous process feature detection code
- **Fix** – Importing CSV files with whitespace at the beginning of the rows won’t remove headers and skip columns on Preview
- **Fix** – Prevent JavaScript error in Month View when the Date filter is removed from the Tribe Bar (thank you to @tyrann0us on GitHub for submitting this fix!)
- **Fix** – Facilitate automated updates for Events Calendar PRO even if it’s requirements have not been met
- **Language** – 0 new strings added, 0 updated, 1 fuzzied, and 0 obsoleted
 
### Event Tickets 4.9.1

- **Fix** – Event Tickets Plus updates correctly when we are handling an outdated version
- **Language** – 0 new strings added, 0 updated, 1 fuzzied, and 0 obsoleted
 
### Community Events 4.5.15

- **Feature** – Added a new action, tribe\_community\_events\_before\_form\_messages, to allow easier addition of content before various form messages are displayed
- **Fix** – Ensure images can be removed from events after uploading them–on both the submission form \*and
- **the** edit form for already-submitted events
- **Fix** – Ensure that fields required for Organizers work on both the submission form and the edit-Organizer form
- **Fix** – Prevent event-status tooltips from being cut off in the “My Events” list on the front end
 
### Community Tickets 4.5.7

- **Tweak** – Remove references to purchase limit options
- **Deprecated** – get\_purchase\_limit() on Tribe\_\_Events\_\_Community\_\_Tickets\_\_Main
