# The Events Calendar 5.0.1

Howdy all! We’re releasing a quick update here that adds functionality to the WordPress Customizer and resolves some issues related to the datepicker field for events. This is a minor release that should be smooth sailing when updating. That said, it’s always a good idea to [backup](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/creating-site-backups/) your site and test changes in a [development environment](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/) before installing this on your live site, as you would with any other WordPress update.

 Let’s get to the changelogs: - **Version** – The Events Calendar 5.0.1 is only compatible with Filter Bar 4.9.1 and higher.
- **Version** – The Events Calendar 5.0.1 is only compatible with Events Calendar PRO 5.0.1 and higher.
- **Feature** – We have added the “Accent Color” option to the WordPress Customizer when the new views design is enabled.
- **Fix** – We have fixed the venue block title from being indented in Twenty Twenty theme.
- **Fix** – The website block label no longer disappears when adding a classic event details block.
- **Fix** – This fix resolves style overrides for new view shortcodes for Enfold theme.
- **Fix** – We released a fix so that the events bar icon displays as blue when text has been inputted.

- **Fix** – This fix keeps the event sharing block text from being cut off in the block editor admin when editing an event.
