# The Events Calendar 6.9.0

### Summary

Feature Release

The latest update of The Events Calendar introduces a new Onboarding Wizard and First Time Setup admin page for new installs!

As always, we recommend[ testing updates](https://docs.nexcess.com/software/the-events-calendar/creating-and-using-a-wordpress-staging-site/) on a staging site first, but it should all be smooth sailing.

New features in this release:

- Added a new Onboarding Wizard and First Time Setup admin page for new installs.

#### ✅ Fixes

Bugs squashed in this release:

- When importing events from Google Calendar when using Events Calendar Pro with a custom Google Maps API key, Provinces/States for non-US countries are now saved to the correct field.
- When using “Move to trash events older than”, trashed imported events are now ignored.
- Changed `format` method to `format\_i18n` to allow for translations of dates in the TEC Elementor Widget.
- Correct template override path to match docblocks for `event-export` directory.
- Correct application of upsell classes on the settings page.

Tweaks in this release:

- Fix the integration with TEC Tweaks to avoid a fatal error when using the extension.
- Updated the docblock for the tribe\_get\_previous\_events\_link, tribe\_get\_next\_event\_link, and tribe\_get\_gridview\_link functions.
- Improved documentation for the tribe\_the\_next\_event\_link, tribe\_the\_prev\_event\_link, and tribe\_get\_events\_link functions.
- Update docblocks in the `Tribe\_\_Events\_\_Importer\_\_File\_Importer\_Events` class.
- Added filters: `tec\_events\_onboarding\_wizard\_permissions`, `tec\_events\_onboarding\_wizard\_handle`, `tec\_events\_onboarding\_wizard\_country\_list`, `tec\_events\_onboarding\_wizard\_timezone\_list`, `tec\_events\_onboarding\_wizard\_currencies\_list`, `tribe\_events\_onboarding\_wizard\_initial\_data`, `tec\_events\_admin\_notice\_event\_tickets\_should\_display`, `tec\_events\_admin\_notice\_utc\_timezone\_should\_display`, `tec\_events\_settings\_should\_filter\_page\_logo\_source`
