Nutanix Roles and Responsibilities
About Nexcess Private Cloud on Nutanix
Powered by Nutanix, Nexcess Private Cloud delivers the benefits of a public cloud with the power, performance and security of isolated infrastructure. It is offered in two forms:
- Dedicated — a Nutanix cluster of dedicated hosts, allocated to a single customer, managed by Nexcess.
- Multi-Tenant (MT) — a logically isolated tenant VPC on shared Nexcess-operated Nutanix infrastructure.
Unlock secure scalability with Nexcess managed Nutanix solutions—purpose-built to guide your cloud transition, accelerate your development team, or power your VMware migration.
Licensing
Nutanix Licensing
Nutanix licensing (AOS / NCI and any NCM add-ons) is held by Nexcess as the service provider and is included in the service.
Windows licensing
You are able to provide your own Windows OS and SQL licensing or lease Nexcess provided Windows licenses. If you want to provide your own Windows licensing, you must do so during the sale itself so that the server can be built with it.

Maintenance
Scheduling certain maintenance or other change requests in advance reduces interruption of service and ensures full team staffing at Nexcess so that you have all the help you need.
Scheduling is based on the maintenance calendar availability of all teams involved and is reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. However, if this maintenance is urgent or if there is a limited timeline in which to execute it, you can contact your account team to see what accommodations can be made.
