Update Your Tax Information
Introduction
Liquid Web works hard to make sure that we are complying with all applicable tax regulations for billing your business. Ensure your tax information is correct, including tax-exemption status, by following the instructions below.

Prerequisites
- A Liquid Web account.
Step-by-step Instructions
- Log into your portal.liquidweb.com account with your username and password, or sign in with Google SSO.
- Click on your account avatar on the top right and click Account Management.
- Scroll down to the Business Details section to find and update EIN field.
- For tax-exempt accounts, simply check the box next to “This account is owned by a tax exempt individual or organization.” This will show new fields for you to enter your Tax exempt reason and Tax exempt ID.
- Click Save Changes to save any updates.

Why do I need to provide or update my tax information?
To ensure accurate billing, Liquid Web must comply with all applicable tax regulations. Keeping your information current allows us to apply the correct taxes and tax exemptions to your account.
My organization is tax-exempt. How do I apply that to my account?
Find the Business Details section on your Account Management page. Check the box for tax-exempt status, and the form will display new fields for you to enter your tax exemption details.
What is an EIN?
A federal Employer Identification Number (EIN) identifies a business entity in the United States. You can enter or update this number in the EIN field under Business Details.
When will the changes to my tax information take effect?
Your changes save immediately and apply to all future invoices.
Will updating my tax information also change my billing address?
No. This process is only for updating tax-specific details like your EIN or tax-exempt status. To change your billing address, please follow the instructions in our article, Change Your Payment Information.
